Acoustic Machines + Release news

Hi all

the last couple of weeks have been kinda crazy round these parts. Repeater and the Machine is officially done and im trying to come up with a few dollars to release it..... Speaking of which how does August 28th 2012 sound to everyone. Good I thought so.

So how about we drum up some enthusiasm with..... A Free acoustic album.(links at bottom). I guess I figured that seeing as how every show and open mic i will be playing for awhile is strictly acoustic, although im going to try with some backing tracks from the rock release this upcoming week.

Speaking of which have you been to the Bean yet.... why not that is the best little coffee shop I have had the pleasure of going to, love it there.

lastly Coma is up everywhere. deep breath...... iTunes, Rhapsody, Emusic, Tradebit, Greatindiemusic, Amazon MP3, Zune, Spotify, Myspace Music, 24-7, Google Music Store, Iheartradio, Rumblefish, Rdio, and Last.fm

enjoy the free acoustic tracks, pick up Coma, tell me what you think of the new songs, got a favorite

check the links for more immediate updates.

till next time

Blessings of a broken ankle

hey all, so this past weekend on the way to the Canada day fireworks. My body decided to give out on the sidewalk and roll my ankle, I sprained it so hard that when it snapped back up it broke my ankle, needless to say this has not been a "comfortable" week. But as it would have it, there was lots of work to do down at 445 studios sitting in a chair with my leg up. So after a grueling 24 hours in front of a computer screen this week i am proud to say that Repeater and the Machines debut album is done. At least I hope, before i show anyone the fruits of this years labors I'm going to sit on it and play it over and over again to determine if anything isn't up to "standards", I wouldn't want to severely disappoint anyone.

There is even more good news. My lovely aunt Anita Wood has decided to graciously let me use her painting "Second Chance" as the cover of Coma, i am super excited about this. I am also working with my good friend Robert Stea on a logo for it.
I'll be sure to check in with you fine people soon. maybe with a sample shh

the story so far......

Hey Everyone and Welcome.

First off, a little about me and this blog. At the beginning of this year I decided that this would be the year that I finally released my debut solo album, I have been in plenty of bands, but nothing ever seemed to take off, so it was up to me to take my career in the direction that i would like to have it headed..... up. So since January i have been in my personal studio recording and rerecording and rerecording some more. After a point i realised that i just wasn't a very good singer and decided to take some vocal lessons, if you could hear those early recordings you would think that this was somebody that had never tried before in there life, it was rough. Lets just say that vocal lessons are a good idea.

After countless hours and many failed days in the studio while learning how to use the new fangled set up (used to use a stand alone DAW) I am proud to say that the first single is ready to go and spit shined as much as its going to get. The track is called Coma and will be on iTunes and various other outlets in the next 2 weeks, I just have to finalise some art work and a logo

Coma will be sold not for profit until the end of December, any and all profit I make off of it will be donated to The Grand River Regional Cancer Centre. This is something i have been planning since 2007 when the Dr's and Staff saved my life and i want to give a little back to them.

So that's it for today, but with a little more than a month until the album is sent to the duplicators and starts to get promoted I'm a little excited, hopefully you will be too.
